Who Are All These Celebrities Playing in Charli XCX’s ‘The Moment’ Movie?

One of Charli XCX’s many film projects in the works just got a major celebrity upgrade. The Moment, her upcoming A24 film, has added Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, and Kate Berlant to its cast, according to Deadline.
And they’re joining an already stacked, as they say, lineup that includes Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Hailey Benton Gates, Trew Mullen, Mel Ottenberg, Richard Perez, Isaac Powell, Rish Shah, Tish Weinstock, Michael Workéyè, Shygirl, and Charli’s producer, who will also handle the music, A.G. Cook.
The full cast reveal came via a color-flashing video scored by a remix of Charli’s hit “I Love It.”

So who’s playing who? Honestly, no one really knows yet. Details are scarce, aside from Deadline’s note that The Moment follows “a rising pop star navigating the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena-tour debut.”
If we had to guess, Kylie’s probably playing herself, while Rachel Sennott could easily slot in as the pop star’s frazzled assistant or maybe even her rival.
Charli’s cinephile credentials are well documented. Her public Letterboxd account reads like it belongs to a film student in training. She recently logged Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, praising Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, and Leonardo DiCaprio for their “big big swing" performances.
“Nice to watch a movie again!” she wrote.
