Tory Lanez Reportedly Stabbed in Prison
The singer and rapper is serving a 10-year sentence for his involvement in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

Tory Lanez was stabbed in prison, TMZ reports.
The singer and rapper was allegedly attacked by a fellow inmate. The assault took place in a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, California, around 7 a.m., according to an email to the Associated Press from Pedro Calderon Michel, spokesman for the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Lanez was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Hours after the news broke, Lanez’s Instagram was updated with a statement saying he was stabbed 14 times, “including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face.”
The statement also said Lanez’s lungs collapsed and that he was then placed on a “breathing apparatus.”
“He is now breathing on his own,” the statement said. “Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through. He also wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.”
Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The shooting took place in July 2020, following a party at Kylie Jenner’s home, and spiraled into a highly publicized trial in which Lanez was found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
Despite remaining behind bars, Lanez continues to post on his Instagram, and recently teased a new album.
