Talk about standing 10 toes down. Steph Curry is standing by his disdain for Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” because, well…Drake is his guy.

The NBA legend NBA legend sat down with Speedy Morman and doubled down on his reaction to a DJ playing the song during an intermission at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In the video caught by someone on the court, Curry exclaims, “Damn with this song! It’s not the only song in America.”

“No, it’s not,” LeBron James responds.

“Everywhere we went, that’s all I heard,” Curry told Speedy. “They knew who I was with. You can’t do nothing about what the DJ’s playing. But I got sick of it at certain points. It’s funny the cameras caught me because that was from the soul.”

Unlike LeBron and his wife, Savannah, who can’t stop rapping along to “Not Like Us,” Curry and his wife, Ayesha, are standing by Drake. Curry and Drake have been friends for years, with Drake even having the number 30 with a halo tatted on himself.

“We go way back, though, and it‘s actually kind of a family thing, too,” Curry told Speedy. ”One of Ayesha’s cousins is from Toronto. She’s from Toronto and the whole deal, so we're all in the same boat.”

Curry also shared that Drake’s the only artist to ever reach out before mentioning him in a song.

“He’s the only one that called me and told me, ‘Yo, you got to hear this,” he said. “Other than that, it’s totally random and always a surprise. The fact that they can be whatever genre, whatever artist, it’s kind of crazy.”
