Offset Closes the Book on Marriage to Cardi B on New Song: ‘It Was Great While It Lasted’
The track, “Move On,” is set to appear on his new album.

Offset is talking about Cardi B again.
This time the rapper told the Associated Press the closing song on his upcoming album, Kiari, is indeed about soon-to-be-ex-wife. Who would have guessed?
Apparently, the song is called “Move On,” and he plans to do just that.
“It’s about moving on, like, peacefully,” he said. “That’s what the message is supposed to be. It’s all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter, because it’s time to move on, it’s over and done with.”
He continued: “It was great while it lasted. That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”
Cardi filed for divorce last year after seven years of marriage. The two have separated and reunited a few times, and they share three children together.
Offset told the Joe Budden Podcast earlier this month that while he planned to discuss what’s been going on in his life, he didn’t plan on dissing Cardi like she dissed him with her song “Outside.”
“It’s therapy. I ain’t doing that on the album. The shots, I ain’t doing that,” he claimed during the interview. “I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That shit gonna be lame 10 years from now. I ain’t on that, but I’ll be expressing some feelings of how I feel about certain things.”
