A new Nicki Minaj album might not be coming after all.

In a tweet posted early Wednesday morning, the Queens rapper announced she was scrapping plans to release her next album in March and somehow made Jay-Z part of the fallout.

“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now @sc, “ she said. “Bye, Barbz. Love you for life.”

The post was just the latest twist in a bizarre, one-sided war Nicki’s been waging against Jay-Z and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. For weeks, she’s fired off cryptic and then extremely direct tweets accusing Jay of owing her money from her reported three percent equity in Tidal,  the streaming service he launched in 2015 and sold in 2021 for $300 million.

“They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!! LMFAO. Wanted to patch it up. They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ,” she tweeted. “I called the Barbz on the secret BARB phone & it was a resounding NOOOOOOOO. just like the casinooooooooooooooooooo. @sc.”

Nicki first announced her supposed album, set for March 27, 2026, during the release week of Cardi B’s latest project, sparking yet another back-and-forth between the two that turned ugly quick.

At this point, whether she’s actually shelving the album, her first since 2023's Pink Friday 2, or just stirring the pot is anyone’s guess.
