Lil Nas X Will Remain in Jail Until Monday, Following Arrest
The rapper was taken into custody after he was seen roaming the streets of Los Angeles in underwear and boots.

Lil Nas X will spend at least the weekend in jail after he was arrested in Los Angeles this week.
The pop star, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was taken into custody after an encounter with police officers early Thursday morning, according to the New York Times. Footage posted by TMZ shows the “Industry Baby” artist roaming the Studio City area in nothing but white underwear and white heeled boots.
At some point in the night the artist was brought to a hospital and checked for an overdose before he was placed under arrest for battery on a police officer.
He’ll spend the next three nights at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys.

In the video, Nas rambles about trying not to be late to a party.
“Didn’t I tell you to put the phone down?” he says to the unknown cameraperson. “Somebody’s going to have to pay for that.”
“Pay for it by coming to the party,” he says, looking back at the camera briefly before walking off.

Some have hypothesized that the episode is part of an elaborate promo plan for incoming music.
“Y'all can't see a rollout when a rollout is rolling right in front of you?” X user @allthingsdante said. “Mind you this applies to LNX, Cardi, Christian autumn lady, etc. lol.”
Others, however, have decided to just send well wishes to the singer.
“Hoping Lil Nas X gets the help that he needs,” X user @cdiggi1 said. “And if this was all for promo, I still hope that he gets the help that he needs.”
