Time to put on your Monday best.

The Met Gala took over New York City’s most famous museum Monday night for the annual fundraiser that brings out the best-dressed celebrity patrons.

Of course, it’s important to note the Gala raised the most money it’s raised in its history, but more importantly, we have to talk about how people came and put that shit on. The event is tied to the Costume Institute’s Spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The actual dress code for the gala was “Tailored for You.”  Attendees paid tribute to Black designers, culture, and Dandyism as the exhibition is based on Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,

Below, the Type.Set.Brooklyn team rounded up the best fits from fashion’s biggest night.

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo arrived in a dramatic blue cape, but it’s this beautiful Valentino fit underneath that stole the show.

Coco Jones

Coco Jones looked like a dream come true in a cream and white embroidered set from Indian brand Manish Malhotra.

Shaboozey

Shaboozey made his Met Gala debut the only way anyone should: in a tailored pants suit completed with turquoise beads drapped around him and with a turquoise grill to match.

Teyana Taylor

I mean we chose her as our lead image for a reason. Teyana Taylor stunned in a truly custom piece co-designed with legendary Oscar winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.

Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum is having more fun than any of us. The actor hit the blue carpet donning a dark suit made by desinger Wales Bonner completed with a fur-lined cape.

Joey King

We wouldn’t have guessed this was Joey King’s first Met Gala. The actress worked the carpet like a pro in a green and embroidered custom Miu Miu suit.

Chance The Rapper

Chicago’s very own Chance The Rapper walked the carpet looking handsome as ever with iconic designer Donatella Versace. And of course he was wearing a custom Versace look with a ber to match.

Lupita Nyong'o

There’s nothing else to say but Lupita Nyong’o is that girl. The Oscar winning actress owned the carpet in a powder-blue suit by Chanel with a draping cape for a little drama.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny embodied the theme to the fullest in a beautifully tailored brown suit from Prada. He paired the suit with a hat, gloves, and brown and yellow leather bag.

Jennie

Blackpink’s Jennie gave campy elegance as she hit the blue carpet in tuxedo dress from Chanel.

Keith Powers

Keith Powers looked absolutely dapper in a suit from Boss. The flowing gray pants, suit jacket, and pinstriped shirt make for one of the dandyist looks of the night.

Doechii

Doechii is as cool as they come. The eccentric artist pulled up in a multi-patterned custom piece from Louis Vuitton designed by Pharrell Williams himself.

Omar Apollo

Of course Omar Apollo had to add a daring twist to his outfit. The singer wore a Wales Bonner suit and finished the look off with a leopard print undershirt and green-highlighted hair.

Sabrina Carpenter

She was told she couldn’t wear pants and stunned anyway. Sabrina Carpenter walked the blue carpet in a darker-than-blood-red Louis Vuitton bodysuit.
