Cowboy Carter Tour spoilers below.

Well, y’all, it’s finally happening: Queen Bey mounted her horse (and bull—we’ll get to that later) and galloped full speed into the Cowboy Carter Tour era.

After months of anticipation, fans assembling outfits, and payments to Ticketmaster, Beyoncé finally kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour in Los Angeles at Sofi Stadium on Monday night, and in true Queen Bey fashion, the moment was a cultural event. Even if you didn’t have tickets, you truly didn’t need them, as the BeyHive probably kept the Queen on your FYP on TikTok well into the morning on the East Coast.

The 43-year-old singer performed nearly the entire Cowboy Carter album while incorporating songs from other projects, bringing out both of her daughters, and hitting the stage on a mechanical bull.

The show was mostly a celebration of Black Western and cowboy culture as Bey changed from fringed-out outfits to colorful assembles that looked like they came from the distant future. She opened the show with “American Requiem” before silencing the crowd with a rendition of the “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

As with 2023's Renaissance World Tour, this was absolutely a family affair. Bey’s oldest daughter, Blue, took the stage once again as a dancer and even re-created her mom’s famous choreography from the “Déjà Vu” video. Beyoncé’s youngest daughter, Rumi, also took the stage with their mom and sister as Bey performed CC cut “Protector.”

While the focus was mostly Cowboy Carter songs, if you missed Beyoncé’s last run, this was also your chance to see some of that set live. Bey gave the crowd fan favorites from across her catalog, including “Dive,” “Heated,” and “Crazy in Love.” Fans were once again disappointed that she excluded B’Day cut “Suga Mama” from the setlist. Yet she still performed on a mechanical bull (as she does in the “Suga Mama” video.)

The Cowboy Carter Tour tops off a grand year following the release the album of the same name in March 2024. Beyoncé snagged another No. 1 single with “Texas Hold ‘Em,” performed at the NFL Christmas Day game halftime show to rave reviews, and, of course, won the Grammy for Album of the Year after a highly publicized losing streak.

At the show… need something more conclusive about the performance here instead of the Grammy quote
