All the Athletes Who Attended the 2025 Met Gala
Swapping uniforms and training gear for ‘Tailored for You’-inspired outfits.

When you think of the Met Gala, you probably think about traditional celebrities and runway models hitting the red carpet. But athletes have long been showing that they are new fashion superstars.
Last night’s Met Gala proved no different, as a slew of football stars, basketball players, gymnasts, tennis phenoms, and more traded in their gym clothes for custom fit after custom fit inspired by Costume Institute’s Spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the official dress code for the night, “Tailored for You.”
Below are all the stars that hit the carpet.
Serena Williams
One of the greatest athletes ever took over the carpet in an icy-blue gown designed by Moncler x EE72 by Edward Enninful.

Venus Williams
It was a family affair as Venus Williams also hit the blue carpet. Paying tribute to her roots, she wore a tennis-like skirt piece from Lacoste.

Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade walked the carpet in head-to-toe Prada.

Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton could put on a trash bag and we’d love it. Luckily, he found something a bit more on theme. The racecar driver donned an all white suit by Wales Bonner.

The 2024 WNBA Finals MVP looked sharp in black suit by designer Sergio Hudson.

Breanna Stewart
Jones' Liberty teammate Breanna Stewart also popped out wearing Sergio Hudson.

Noah Lyles
Track star Noah Lyles looked dandy as ever as he walked the carpet in a Thom Browne suit and Ana Khouri jewelry—alongside the jewelry’s designer.
